Design/plan for a double storey side and single storey rear extension
We are very happy to recommend Abbas Akbarally and his team at Happy Building who designed, and planned the work on our extension and home refurbishment during 2022. Communication was excellent from start to finish. Abbas was a pleasure to work with, making thoughtful suggestions throughout whenever we felt unsure or concerned about certain aspects. We are glad that we invested the time and money with Happy Building and we are very happy with the outcome.

Rear downstairs extension including relocating a bathroom.
From the very beginning of the design process to the end result, Fran was a complete professional. She was able to answer all of my questions without fail and I felt happy that she was very confident in her area of expertise. She was very patient when waiting for me to make decisions about things, I never felt rushed throughout the process and Fran was always on hand to answer any questions. I felt that the first stage of my project was in great safe hands, thanks Fran!

Planning for demolition of garage, side extension, and rear extension
Overall fantastic, it was a pleasure to work with Geo throughout the process. Right from the initial intro meeting through to design planning and submission. Geo listened to what we wanted and put forward a number of designs incorporating this in a creative way (the final design isn't what we first thought, but we love it!). And then planning couldn't have been easier, all approved.

Reconfiguration of the ground floor and loft extension
We thoroughly enjoyed working with Geo on the plans for our new house. The process felt like a genuine dialogue from the initial meeting to understand our requirements and vision for the plans, to making revisions, to helping us make a decision on the planning application. Geo very quickly grasped the style of the house we were going after and provided examples and inspiration for what the final design might look like. The communication was excellent and we are very happy with the result.

Stage 1 - Planning and Design process
I had an excellent experience with Happy Building Ltd. At the outset, Carlotta provided a detailed explanation of each stage of their process and I particularly liked that you received two design plans that included an estimate of costs. This helped ensure my plans were realistic and I wasn't expecting any extreme surprises. My designer, Geo was very creative and thoughtful towards my families particular needs. Everything was done efficiently and with an eye for detail. I was extremely grateful for the several redesigns and support through a stressful planning application.

We’ve had a great experience so far with Happy Build. We worked with Geo on our stage 1 architectural design and he really took time and made the effort to think of three options for us, all well thought out and in keeping with what we wanted for our downstairs development.

Consultancy and design of loft conversion and taking it to planning
The team at Happy Building are all very friendly and very helpful. Everything was made very clear and the choice of designs that we presented all made sense and all were based on things that we asked for in the our design brief meeting. Chantelle, who designed the plans was also great at keeping us fully informed at every step of the process. We are very happy with the work that has been done so far and would recommend them to anyone considering having any work done to their property.

Geo helped me with drawings for my kitchen extension. He did an amazing job and was super helpful throughout the process, helping me with my questions. He also had fantastic ideas for the kitchen, taking my mood board into account. Was also good to have him correct me when my suggestions seemed like poor design ideas. Helped me avoid some critical mistakes!! Wouldn’t hesitate to use Geo again

We chose Happy Building as the process was made very clear and we felt we would be listened to and understood. Now, having successfully applied for planning permission, we know we absolutely made the right choice. Abbas was very patient with us throughout, making thoughtful suggestions and working with us to create a plan for our home which more than meets our needs but which also fits within our budget confines. We look forward to starting the next step in the process with Happy Building in the near future.

Extension to replace an old garage
Planning to do a single storey side extension. We found Happy Building's Geo excellent to work with. He explained the process to us, measured our property and produced two possible choices for us, one of which we've decided to go with. We really liked the way he answered all our queries and explained everything to us. We'd definitely recommend the service we received to anyone who's never done building work/planning applications before.

It's been a pleasure working with Geo on our home extension project, which includes a rear extension, a garage conversion and a complete refurbishment of the ground floor of our semi-detached house.
We first met Geo in the office back in November. He explained the design and planning process with clarity, talking through all services that Happy Building offered.
With a very fast turnaround, he designed two different options based on our brief by the end of the year. He also provided current market estimates for the construction costs.
In January, Geo worked together with us on refining one of the options and he submitted the planning application to the council by mid January.
The whole design experience has been very smooth and we are very happy with how our project is taking shape.
