I have decided to go back to my feet, as I do feel a bit of a nuisance here when I am really so well, compared to your other clients, but I would like to thank all your staff, nurses, laundray, cleaners, in facts everyone, for being so caring in every way and such big smiles too

Dad was so very looked after by all of you. We were never worried about leaving him in your amazing care. You are wonderful, every one of you.

When Dad had to be placed in a care home we were so worried about everything. We needn’t have been worried. Everyone at Aronel Cottage made Dad’s last months with us a happy time. From the quizzes to the amazing meals to the strawberry milkshakes. Their caring, smiling, always helpful staff go above and beyond and never make you feel unwelcome or a pain for asking questions or making requests. The team are an absolute credit and we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts

To all the staff. Our family would like to say a big thank you for the care given to A in the time he was with you. We appreciate it very much. Bless you all.

Excellent care given to my father. Everyone at Aronel cared and treated him with compassion and empathy. He was always kept clean shaven and smart and the home also reflected this in their house keeping, always clean and smelling fresh. Entertainment was always a good mixture and Tony the gardener always spoke to every resident when he arrived and left, he had a great memory for names. Keep up the good work Aronel and thank you all for making our family be part of yours.

Thank you for all the care and love you gave to J whilst he was in Aronel.
As a family we couldn't have asked for more. Everyone always made us feel part of your family unit, with a ready smile and a friendly greeting it gave us great comfort to know he was in good hands.

Thank you for looking after my mum over the years. It feels strange that she is no longer here. I will miss coming up to the home and seeing you.

I wanted to shout out loud how wonderful it was at the home this morning, for VE Day celebrations! Thank you and a massive well done for creating such a wonderful atmosphere! Lorraine was wonderful … hosting and baking the most amazing treats, my mum loved her cake and biscuits - ensuring all residents and guests were looked after, also Nicky for the lovely teas … Add to this, the sensitive care Adam showed mum encouraging her to get up … just lovely. Thanks again

When H and I first walked in, we were welcomed with a smile. It was our first impression and it immediately made us feel
relieved and confident D was going to be alright.

For the rest of her time at Aronel Cottage, D was loved, cared for, laughed loads, moaned, swore and enjoyed her "sneaky fag" in the garden.

I thank each and every one of you for your professionalism, kindness, love and thoughtfulness, consistently going that extra mile to make D feel loved and cared. You treated her with dignity, humanity and respect. As is evident, you treat all your residents the same.

None of us would wish to end our days having to undergo a prolonged period away from our own home, relinquish our independence and rely on others. It is, however, a fact of life and here's the thing:
Each and every one of you at Aronel Cottage appreciates and respects that. You don't just show up, do the basics and clock off. There isn't a monetary value that would recompense you for the care, attention to detail and affection you constantly show those in your care. Your's is not a normal 9-5. You're different. You're special!
I will never adequately thank you all for what you did for my D. Just remember, each and every one of you. All my love.

My brother and sister in law, D and T and myself would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your care and compassion to J during her 4 plus years at Aronel Cottage.

Aronel Cottage looked after my elderly friend for 22 months when she was unable to remain at home and care for herself. I had thought she would be very unhappy on leaving her home but she settled well and enjoyed the company of residents and staff. When she first moved in she would go around the lounge checking other residents were alright. The staff were kind to her and endlessly patient on her not such good days. There were staff that related more to her which was lovely to see. I was able to take her out most weekends and a carer I employed to take her out ( which was something she really enjoyed ) was made to feel welcome by staff. Basil kept me well informed about her health and I felt included in her care. I appreciated that Aronel was a family run home and there were plenty of social activities for residents. The home was always decorated beautifully for special occasions and the summer garden was always very colourful and a pleasure to sit in. Birthdays were always celebrated. Overall, I am glad I chose Aronel Cottage for my friend's last 2 years. Thank you to Basil and all the staff.
