Very caring and Friendly
I was looking for a good care home for an elderly friend. I already know about Easterlea as two other ladies I knew already lived here so it was my first port of call. One of these is 102 and been at Easterlea for a good few years now. They have seen her through a lot of illnesses over the years. It is a very friendly clean home with various activities during the week. Management and staff are very caring and friendly. This lady I have recently brought to Easterlea with the help of the manager and staff is now settling in nicely. This lady before moving to Easterlea would stay in bed all day, cry a lot and want to doe. She now gets up with the help of staff, washes and dresses and enjoys the company in the lounge daily. I would really recommend Easterlea. The manager does the extra mile to help with problems settling. As a retired GP I have considerable experience of care and nursing homes. Easterlea has a great deal going for it, small, very friendly and caring. The turn over of staff is low, always a good sign. The manager Carol has been there for many years and is exceptionally good. It was my mother's choice to stay at Easterlea Rest home and she is very happy with all the staff and loves the food. I personally find all the staff very pleasant and the food looks great.
