A successful first time visit
It was a comprehensive assessment and my back is starting to feel better already. Advice was good and exercise suggestions are doable. Felt comfortable and relaxed. All in all a successful first time visit.

The appointment was one hour long. The conversation about my problem took 45 minutes, which, given the fact that before the appointment I spent 10 minutes filling a questionnaire online, describing my problem, was excessive.
The actual treatment included 3 minutes of a massage and 10 minutes of acupuncture. I have the impression that the manual massage is the most helpful treatment for me, especially since I was told the problem is in my lower back muscles.
I received an information sheet with exercises to do, which I could have found online rather than asking for physio therapy. I was also advised notto stay in one position for too long which was rather useless given the fact that staying in one position referred to me sleeping and sitting (this isthe nature of my job), since those two activities seem to make my condition worse.

Whilst most of those attending our service can expect to receive physical treatment during the initial visit, the main purpose of this session is to provide an assessment. This helps ensure the most appropriate care is provided.
It is for this reason that the session is an hour. Follow on sessions are half an hour and will usually be focused on delivering care.
