The care has been excellent. My only criticism is that it took so long to access the care I so desperately needed. It has been over 7 weeks since my firs t of 4 repeated and very debilitating muscle spasms. GPs are too slow to refer. I have been off work for 4 weeks and only part time this week and next so lost earnings on top of other costs.

In the Hampshire Back Service once a GP sends in a referral this is assessed usually the same or next day by a specialist who determines the care most likely to be helpful. If they select us we will always offer a first assessment and treatment within 10 days. This system does deliver quick accesses to treatment once a GP referral is received.

My first chiropractic experience was welcoming and informative by Sophia
I found my first session to be informative and very helpful.
I have never been to a chiropractor before, so I didn't really know what to expect. I was made to feel welcome, and had everything explained to me about my injury, and what treatment I would receive.
Sophia was lovely, and friendly, which made my appointment a more enjoyable experience, despite the pain I was in.
After I had recieved my treatment from Sophia, my pain was reduced, and I felt more mobile for the rest of the day.

This was my first appointment with Emma and she was very caring and understanding of my condition at this time. I'm sure that future scores will be a 5 once I know if Emma can help me be pain free or refer me for further investigations. I just want this pain and related issues to be gone.

B2H appointment
It took a while to get an appointment (during which time I got used to the pain/injury that I was referred for) and it started to improve. The appointment itself was ok - I knew there was still an issue but came away with a huge list of exercises and a number to call within 30 days if it was no better. I think if it happens again I'd pay for a private physio to get it sorted sooner and maybe for some follow up just to check the exercises were working!

Research evidence and current UK guidelines state that for some patients advice on keeping active supported by home exercise provides better results than a course of care.

Listened to what I had to say
John listened to what I had to say regarding my back pain. John then explained clearly the exercises I was to do at home until my next appointment. Reception staff were welcoming and pleasant to converse with. Following appointment was set up before leaving the practice. Thank you all.
