Nothing. I waited 30 minutes beyond my appointment time and then was given an extremely quick inspection. This consisted of a quick record of which teeth were filled, (no testing of the fillings), probing of the gums and quick removal of plaque off one tooth. There was no inspection of the tongue or inside of the mouth, no feeling for clicking jaw, in fact, it was the briefest inspection I’ve had in my life. I look to better service in the future.

Thank you for taking time to offer feedback on your recent appointment.
I am sorry that you had to wait a while for your appointment. As much as we try to adhere to appointment times, we often deal with emergencies, which can sometimes put the surgery behind time a little.
Having looked at your clinical notes, and speaking with the dentist, it appears that a full examination did take place. Your notes state that, upon examination, you did not report any problems. Your teeth were checked, including your gums (which explains the probing of the gums).
Your oral hygiene was good, and risks of caries and perio were low.
We do not remove plaque, as this is the patient’s responsibility however we do remove calculus if a patient presents with any. Should this be very little, then it may be removed with a hand scale.
Soft tissues were checked on the dental examination and all was ok.
In regards to the x-rays, they are to be taken every 2 years. On checking your records, your last r x-rays were taken in 2021 therefore, there was no justification for x-rays to be taken on the appointment this time.
Your recall was changed to every 9 months due to low risks.
If you have any further concerns, then please do not hesitate to contact the practice.
Kind regards
