I was an emergency as had infection and abscess, but not my usual dentist and no numbing but burst the abscess and when I asked for a tissue as tears we're rolling down my face it was an effort to get me one. I have had so many good experiences with my usual dentist but this was awful. Not even allowed to rinse my mouth. Felt like it was my fault I was not made welcome. Sorry.

Thank you for taking time to offer feedback on our practice. On looking at your records, I can see that we saw you as an emergency patient for the abscess that you had. Upon examination the canal was necrotic, which was causing the pain. The dentist did try to numb you and even put some anaesthetic directly into the canal. Unfortunately with swellings, it is very difficult to numb the area, and anaesthetic often doesn't work. The only way to try and relieve your pain was to try and burst the abscess, which is an uncomfortable procedure. You were then prescribed antibiotics to help clear the infection up and we would then continue with root canal treatment. If you would like to discuss this matter further, then please contact the Practice Manager.
