Thank you for your feedback. All dentists are bound by GDC guidelines to offer the best treatment that is necessary for the patient. The dentist will always try and save the tooth above extraction whenever possible. Sometimes the tooth may be too broken down, or infected to save it, therefore extraction becomes the only option. I am more than happy to meet with you if you would like further clarification on your treatment.

Extraction was totally without pain

Found Maria excellent, tooth extraction was totally without pain, now healing well, impressed with the,I think new pain suppressant, very pleased.

Left with a very sore throat, not sure if I had a reaction to something!!
Tasted very acidic, burning sensation.
Reported to the clinic, who checked all equipment. Called me twice to check on my welfare, throat clear after 24 hours. Great after care. Thank you.

Thank you for your feedback and also for ringing the surgery with regards to your sore throat. It is important that we do a full investigation to anything unusual. I spoke with both Dentist and nurse with regards to your treatment, and it seems that only plain water was used and non latex gloves. All instruments go through a robust process of decontamination. It will remain a mystery as to what triggered your sore throat, however I am pleased to know that you are feeling well today.

My appointment ran late by about an hour, when I did get to see a dentist (not the one I had an appointment with) it was a whirlwind experience. I am sure I was in there less than 5 minutes. No one explained that the dentist was running late until I asked how much longer I would be kept waiting.

I am sorry that you did not feel that you had a good service when you attended for your appointment. Unfortunately the dentist that you were booked in to see, had had an emergency patient earlier, which had put her behind her time.
I will speak with reception and ensure that going forward they will inform patients of their potential wait.
