Thank you very much for your feedback, we are glad to hear that your overall experience was positive. We have reflected on your comments about the cost estimate not being given. As your comments have been left anonymously, we cannot establish the facts around that specific incident but we trust your comments. We try to be transparent about fees by publishing them on our website and in our waiting room. Our protocol is to provide patients with an estimate or a quote before starting any treatment, this is done as routine whenever we can plan for treatment, however, during an emergency appointment, often our attention is focused on resolving the patient problem rather than creating a cost estimate due to the time pressure. We also assume that if patients are concerned about the cost, they can familiarize themselves with the fee list on our website, and in the waiting area and that they could ask their dentist if more details about cost are required. With all this in mind we have already taken your comment on boards and discussed it in our practice meeting in order to be more pro-active on the issue even on situations of pressure.
