I used the new Welsh Dental Access Portal to find me an NHS dentist near me and luckily they offered me Bangor Dental Academy.
The treatment I received from Jenny was excellent. She explained everything clearly and has a lovely calming way about her . I was never made to feel a second class citizen because I was not their usual private patient. NHS patients may have to wait slightly longer for an appointment date but when I contacted them about a problem I was having they got me in earlier.

Had great treatment at dental academy only thing I find wrong is that I had to pay a consultation fee of £50 before seeing the dentist for a tooth extraction for a tooth that the dentist had worked on a mater of weeks before don't know if this was a charge for emergency appointment or what as the cost of extraction was £165 which was very reasonable due to the expert painless treatment received

Highly recommend this practice
Over the moon with the service myself and my girls received when visiting this practice for the first time on the 16/09/2025. We were beyond lucky to get a space under the NHS here and are super grateful. Nice and friendly reception team, I was seen by a dentist called Evelyn who was so lovely, her care and attention was something else! Booked in for further treatment with hardly no time to wait. I rang yesterday and got seen to the same day due to having issues with a tooth and she’s brought my root canal treatment appointment from December to next week. Thank you all for what you do! Highly recommend this practice
