I’ve been using Carlton House Dental Practice for a long time. The first task was to fix a root canal filling, botched by another dentist. The care and skill gave me confidence that I had found a competent team. Since then I have had some crowns fitted, these have been excellent and moved me from having poor teeth to a solid base for long term dental health.
The skilled dental work is supported by a hygienist who has helped me improve my oral health, bleeding gums are a thing of the past. I’ve learnt about the best ways to clean my teeth and the best tools and techniques to keep my teeth and gums healthy.
I’m very impressed with the team at Carlton House and I’m very confident about their ability to help me have healthy teeth and gums.

Practice Review

I've been a Carlton House patient for many years and have never felt unhappy with the service and treatment I've received. All staff are friendly, courteous and efficient. The premises are always extremely clean. Both dentists and hygienists are gentle, demonstrate understanding of any patient phobias and quirks and always take time to explain procedures. The practice has coped extremely well with the additional constraints of Coronavirus and has continued to do its best for patients throughout this difficult period.

Always been terrified of going to the dentist. Being a grown woman with kids and a business it seems daft. Since going to calton house I don’t get as scared and i feel more confident. Thank you for your ***** review it is much appreciated, we have tried to keep our prices as low as possible this year, as we know it has been a tough time for everyone, we managed to just increase both our private and Denplan prices by just 4% and we have not passed on the high additional charges for PPE to our patients, we always endeavor to keep our yearly price increases as fair as possible for everyone.

Hygenyist and extraction

I visited dentist after a space of about 4 years and was quite anxious. The staff immediately made me at ease and the lady dentist I saw was really calming and explained everything she did and why and treatment required. The nurse who was assisting was very calming and asking if I was alright. I was referred to the hygienist who was again so calming and explained she did and why. I had to have a tooth extracted and was quite anxious over this, again the dentist was so calming, explaining everything which was to happen and ensured I did not feel any pain. After the procedure I was shaky and dizzy and the dentist had stay in the chair until i was more calm and then when I went to reception I was again looked after, amazing.

From being terrified for many years over visiting "THE DENTIST!" I was recommended this practice from a friend.
Nick has the patience of a saint, he talks me through all treatments explains everything and has a very calming influence.
Visiting the dentist is still not top of list to do, but gradually childhood memories of bad experience have very much faded.
I very much recommend this practice.

Had to undergo intensive treatment using water. Was very apprehensive as have some sensitivity. Was prescribed local anesthetic. I did not require this and the treatment went well.

Excellent professional advice

Went to have preparation for a crown. Nick found a lack of sensitivity in the tooth and proceeded to complete a series of X-rays and tests. Not satisfied he put off the preparation to give a chance for the symptoms to develop and will make a choice in some weeks time really felt he was going the extra mile. Excellent professional manner.
