Every visit is pleasant
I really hate the dentist, we are so nervous, always have been. But the staff and my dentist are really nice, they make us feel relaxed, they are professional and explain everything that he’s doing whilst sat in the chair.

Your recent appointment
The actual dentistry part of my visit was fine, absolutely fine.
Being sent upstairs to a newly built surgery which I had never been before along aa dark corridor, down two steps then required to wait in an unlighted room was less than pleasant.
Could I suggest that a member of staff be tasked with turning all lights on before clients are admitted in the morning?

We are delighted to hear that the dentistry aspect of your appointment was good. I am concerned however that the lights were not on in the upstairs waiting area. Thank you for taking the time to speak to Gerry, our Head Receptionist when she called you, as we were very keen to find out what had happened here. It would seem as you had the first appointment of the day, and had arrived early, the area had not yet been prepared by the nurses for the start of the day as they were carrying out their surgery and decontamination room equipment checks before preparing the waiting area for patients. However, we always learn from any feedback which gives us an opportunity to improve any aspect of our service. We have made the decision that patients who arrive early at the start of the day will not be asked to go upstairs until the waiting room area is fully ready for their arrival. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and this has been fed-back to our staff in our staff meeting today. We look forward to seeing you at your next visit. Kind regards. Joanne Roberts. Quick, easy, painless
Reception staff friendly helpful. Had a minor problem. The reason for this was explained fully after an x-ray to confirm nothing serious was causing the discomfort. Given actions to prevent the discomfort with reassurance that could come back if required.
