Everyone at the practice are always helpful, efficient & friendly which is a big plus if you are nervous about the dentist which I am, so this puts you at ease. I have always found the level of care & standard of work very high.

My overall experience.
Dr Mike is a good listener, caring and understanding and gave appropriate advice. The assistant that was working with him, took on board an issue that I have and she responded with care.

Cottams Dental Practice
The Dentist is very polite he listens and explains on what he’s doing and if there’s a problem he shows you the x-rays 10 out of 10. But reception again, very polite but the problem is when you phone the Dentist it takes ages before they answer the phone. I have seen this with my own eyes when somebody has phoned reception are not answering the phone. They should be trying to answer the phone within 3 rings and not 10 to 20 rings.

To remove tooth - gum disease
I had to book an emergency dentist to remove my tooth.
I was advised to take antibiotics first for 5 days.
The appointment was brought forward after a few weeks and managed to get the tooth removed quickly.

Dr D P Cottam is an extremely competent dentist. He is kind, caring and his calm demeanour makes a dental appointment a less fearful experience.

Whilst attending my hygienist appointment I asked if my wife could be seen by the hygienist at the same time as her appointment was not until several hours later. Mobasha was very accommodating and managed to see us together saving a return visit that afternoon.
