Coventry Road Dental Practice

POSITIVE EXPERIENCES AT THIS DENTAL PRACTICE. I’ve been really surprised when reading the reviews for this dental practice, most appear to be negative and I’m not sure why. I have been a patient for a number of years (even since before rodericks had taken over). I have always had a positive experience during my liaisons with the dentist. Reception staff are very polite (phones always answered in a timely manner whenever I have called, and appear to be answered promptly as soon as they ring when I have been waiting in the waiting room), Aqeel is lovely. There is an Asian receptionist with blonde hair (not sure of her name) but I have always had positive encounters with her also. Easy to get an appointment - usually seen within a week.

The dentists themselves are really nice. I have been a few times over the last 8 weeks (for both myself and my mother in law), I’ve had interactions with Dr Shamaila Iqbal and Dr Mohammed Jabor - both are very friendly and take time out to explain the procedures and listen to your concerns. I didn’t feel rushed, so I’m very surprised at other people’s reviews. The dental assistant marzia is also very nice.

As for waiting to see the dentist, yes this happens I personally don’t have a problem with this, people need to remember that this is an NHS run practice - delays WILL happen, patients don’t take the same amount of time to treat - some may need longer treatment times. (I’ve seen private dentists in the past where there have also been delays). So rather than moaning about having to wait - maybe cut the staff some slack - I’m sure they are as frustrated as we are when there are delays - this also means they are delayed getting home.

Anyway, back to my review. I would recommend this dental practice to others. This is a genuine review based on my experience and encounters with the staff here.

They registered me in the morning, by the afternoon I was seen and in 4 days will have my appointment!!! I’m still surprised how efficient they were.

Dr Mohammed Jabor and Maria the dental assistant saw my mother in law for a denture fitting. Both were very professional and kept my mother in law at ease. Took time to explain the procedure to us both. Excellent service. Would definitely recommend Roderick dental practice (infact I enrolled my mother in law after my own positive experience at the practice). Reception staff are excellent too. Extremely professional both on the phone and when you attend in person. Aqeel is very polite.

My appointment with my dentist has always been a delight. He is a lovely man and handled my wisdom tooth with care. I have to thank him once again, he is such a blessed soul. Takes a lot of pride in caring for me as I'm very anxious with tooth extractions. Thank you so much and look forward to my deep clean.

Shruthi was very helpful and calming. She explained the procedure in detail and what to do after and helped me stay calm through the extraction.

I always try to get my deep treatment but never get but after 10 years I got it now, cleaning will done on 21st June.

Was given the appointment day before not a long wait.
Staff at front desk very nice and great customer service.

Dr. Adil Murtaza is the best dentist in the town. He is very competent, caring, professional, friendly and flexible. We have relocated to the Middle East but still see Dr. Murtaza for all our dental works.
The reception and other staff members at the Dental surgery are also very pleasant and professional.

Dr Jabore was very friendly and professional. Did a great job.
