Emergency appointment
My elderly mother attended an emergency appointment with me as she was suffering with toothache. I am her carer, she has dementia, is extremely frail and has mobility issues. She struggles to walk and stand and uses a wheelchair.
The staff were extremely helpful and kind for which I am grateful.
The dentist needed to do an xray on mum, but unfortunately due to her disability she was unable to stand in the required manner that would enable the xray to be taken. I was quite surprised that there wasn't another way that the xray could be done, as mum will surely not be the only patient in a wheelchair.
This is my only criticism, otherwise my whole experience was a positive one.

Nick Downes has been fantastic. He put my very anxious daughter at ease and was considerate and kept us informed about care and outcomes. It was a great help to know that we were in experienced hands after a traumatic tooth avulsion from a fall.

I felt my dentist was very inexperienced and didn’t appear to have a plan on what to do when the patient turned up. Very polite but did a very cursory glance into my mouth and talked about my next appointment and seemed ready to let me go. I asked about a rough area so he came back and said oh yes that needs a filling and only when I asked about another area did he find another possible filling. Slightly concerning.
