This was the first time I’ve ever had to stop treatment during a dental visit, which was quite concerning. I felt that the dentist was rushing throughout the appointment, and there didn’t seem to be much care or attention given to my comfort.
The cleaning itself was very rough, leaving all of my gums bleeding. I understand that a clean can sometimes be a bit sensitive, but this experience was genuinely painful and far beyond what I would normally expect

Excellent service as usual at this practice. Good, clean and well ordered reception and clinical surgery itself.
Friendly, helpful staff on arrival. As always Ms Kapugama was her usual bright, smiling and welcoming self. Likewise her Dental Nurse assistant (I'm sorry to say I didn't get her name). Efficient professional service with a genuine discussion about prospective treatment(s), making me feel both valued and that this was a bona fide consultation with my personal dental practitioner and not a one-way flow where professional opinion is simply imposed on me like I'm on a conveyor belt. 10/10

Professional service as always. It’s very rare these days that you can even get to see a NHS dentist, so really pleased that Northgate Dental Practice seem happy to keep their NHS patients. The premises are clean and hygienic and the staff are always very pleasant and put you at ease.
Let’s face it nobody really likes going to the dentist, but NDP make it less daunting and explain everything to you clearly and in simple terms.

Northgate Dental Practice - my recent appointment
My appointment was at 3.30pm I went to reception at 3.55pm to ask how much longer I had to wait, I was told another 15mins. I asked to rearrange appointment due other commitments and appointment was taking too long. It would have been nice to be told on arrive that they were running late. But due to signing in on a tablet and not communicating with a receptionist this is unable to be communicated. Lack of communication.
When I asked to rearrange I was told they couldn’t book me back in till June which is crazy. When I said I already had an appointment booked in June. I was told I didn’t. I alway attend my appointments at the same time as my children and they were booked in and I wasn’t.
Moved over to a new booking system but failed to transfer over all medical details that were previously had.
