Polite and professional
Polite and professional service. The receptionist was very polite and apologetic for a very slight delay due to computer update. First time I have seen this particular dentist and nurse, both very polite and professional.

I was in the room about 2 minutes and didn’t feel as though the check up was thorough enough. No cleaning of the teeth was offered either.

Feel the dentists are always pushing deep cleans, they used to always clean and polish your teeth with your check up, but now they push for a deep clean with the hygienist, I pay for my treatments and can not afford over £70 every 3 months.

My experience
The check up I had today was less than satisfactory if I am honest, I think I was in the dentist chair for three or four minutes & feel that previous Northgate dentists have carried out a more thorough check up than the one carried out today. Very poor in my opinion.

The dentist was amazing
After having a fall on saturday, I went to the dentist to make an appointment to fix my broken teeth after my fall, they fitted me in after a short wait, and can you believe it my new teeth were put on an existing plate I have and I got a call the day after and my new teeth were ready to pick up, just over 24 hours, absolutely incredible. I can't thank everyone enough, the dentist was amazing, and you are always greeted with a welcoming smile from the reception girls, thanks everyone, you are simply the best.

My experience
Appointments are always cancelled and rescheduled. When you arrive on time for your appointment you are sat waiting at least 20 minutes past your time every time. When you get in to the dentists room the appointment is rushed with no obvious care taken to your checkup or concerns raised, you then get to pay almost £30 for a 3 minute appointment you had to wait a long time for. If you are scheduled for work done, when you come to the appointment the dentist ask you what they are supposed to be doing. The practice used to be a lot better and took much better care of their patients before the changes. If you are private though you can pick and choose times and take priority over NHS patients.

Instead of having a clean as part of my checkup, as I have had for the past 50 years, I am longer getting a clean, instead I being offered a ‘deep clean’ which has to be paid for separately.

My experience
I saw a new dentist & although she was nice my appointment lasted 5 minutes. In that time she told me I have bone loss & possibly gum disease. She didn't take any x-rays so not sure how she detected the bone loss. Only advice was to change my floss & that next time I might need a deep clean! No de scale done as in previous appointments. I was asked to go 15 early as she had some spare time, at 5 minutes for an appointment it's not surprising.
