I really like everything about Elgin Park Dental Practice but was just a little bewildered about the advice I did not recieve from my dentist.
In October I visited to get a new gum shield/gum guard - at the end of the appointment I was asked if I would prefer a soft or hard guard.
In a hurry I opted for a hard guard, which was kindly sent to me as I live quite far away. When it arrived it was so uncomfortable that I thought there was something wrong with it. So booked another appointment only to learn at this additional appointment that the Hard Guard is supposed to be uncomfortable and the whole point of using it is to discourage me grinding my teeth!!!
Oh! If only I had known that when I first tried it. I suppose you could say it was my fault because I live far away and should have asked more questions...but there again it would be good to know!!! Next time I will try to remember to discuss the issue thoroughly to save my a trip/ fee at the Dentist.

Two crowns fitted and a root canal
I don’t like going to the dentist because early childhood experiences left me scarred. I am so lucky to have found Cerri, his assistant George and receptionist Jude. I feel they know me well, are welcoming, make me feel at ease, will see me at the drop of a hat with my troublesome teeth and explain everything clearly to me.

My dentist managed to squeeze me in between already booked patients. It was kind of him to do this. It took only seconds to remove the brush. I had seen him recently so he knew I would be on time for this appointment, but he could easily have sent me to A&E.

Again Dr S was super polite, efficient, friendly and as the underlying cause may be just receding gums, provided some extra sensitive paste and proposed a checkup in a few weeks, which is anyway due. And so no cost at this point. What more could you ask for. And home before 9 am to start work.

Dental appointment
Needing a new dentist after five years with one who has moved on, I chose M.Saqib- mainly because the times and days of his availability suited me. I was very pleased with the consultation. Mr Saqib understood my medical history, made a thorough inspection of teeth and gums and was responsive to my needs and questions. I'm not nervous at the dentist, but his manner and care were exemplary and would put anyone's concerns to rest. I'll be making a new appointment - and bringing my husband too!

What a wonderful team - my 96 year old mother had been very nervous about visiting the dentist for the first time in many years, but Anthony and all the staff were so kind and gentle with her that she was able to relax and found it a much nicer experience than she had expected.
