Outstanding treatment
Having been advised over 2 years ago by my small town dentist that I needed dental implants I had consultations with implant dentists and felt nothing but reticence and reluctance to go ahead with it. All that changed with my initial consultation with the superbly supportive Cath followed by one with Dr Barry Holmes. I came away feeling listened to, well informed and confident that eventually I had come to the best place. My confidence in this practice never wavered during the course of my treatment. The ethos of this team is second to none. All members of staff are very approachable and Barry himself is an exceptional dentist. He is warm, friendly, patient and an excellent communicator. I felt well informed at every stage of my treatment and confident that I was in the hands of a highly skilled professional. He is empathetic and enthusiastic and for the first time in my life I did not dread dental appointments. Thank you so much for my perfect new implants and for providing a dental experience I didn't imagine possible.

I had been having trouble with a very loose lower denture for more than a year. Difficulty in eating meant I had no appetite and was losing weight. Dr Holmes suggested lower jaw implants, to which the denture could be anchored. 'It will change your life!' he said. He was right. Last night, I ate steak for the first time in two years! Dr Barry Holmes was kind, professional and friendly throughout the five months of the treatment. He explained every stage of the procedure, and gave me options wherever possible. His staff were always helpful, pleasant and friendly, and managed to fit me in for extra help whenever I needed it.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Holmes Dental Care to anyone needing first class dental treatment. Thank you, Barry and your team!

The team at Holmes have truely made a huge impact on my smile. After a complicated straightening plan. I had an incident regarding my front tooth - already a sensitive subject for myself and my confidence so I was devastated.
It’s taken time and some funds to fix this but the reassurance, patience and attention to detail from Barry (&Nikki and support team) really made it all less traumatic and my end result is priceless. It hasn’t quite set in yet.
They really go above and beyond when they are able to and that makes all the difference.

Crown Fitting!
Temporary crown removed with permanent one being fitted. This also meant I needed a new night guard for my front teeth! One of my front teeth has slightly slipped back so Barry is going to use old and new scans to create a new night guard that will secure the tooth that has been crowned and push the offending tooth back into place! I am so, so pleased and cannot wait to collect my new night guard!

When my young son had an unfortunate encounter with a swinging table tennis bat we were worried about potential damage to his front teeth and the possible need for stitches. I called HDC and they saw him straight away. Thankfully, there was no serious damage, but the expertise and prompt reassurance was very much appreciated. I have no hesitation in highly recommending HDC.

Dental implants - excellent service

Complex treatment and fantastic outcome
My dental situation was complex and I had waited years to get the function and smile corrected and in doing so placing my faith in a dentist that could achieve this. I am so glad that I undertook appropriate research and found Barry Holmes who has achieved a result that went way beyond my expectations. I am now learning to smile again after years of covering my mouth with my hand and refusing to have my photograph taken. I look like a different person.
Barry and his team have been very kind and supportive throughout and I can't thank them enough!
