My children were in the chair for about one minute each. I was in chair for a bit longer. No routine checks were done, eg gums checked, tongue, the bite.
It felt like a quick ‘in and out’ to get the consultation fee from NHS.
Last dentist we saw was so thorough. We were so impressed. Left a wonderful Google review.
I don’t want to do a Google review this time, as it wouldn’t be very positive.
I don’t feel like there was any advice for children. No protection put on my daughter’s teeth. My son asked about his wisdom teeth. They weren’t even looked at.
Just feels like a quick and easy way to get money from NHS. So disappointed.
On a good note, the staff were lovely. Very friendly and these were the first there who seemed to enjoy their job. They are an asset. But the check up received in chair was only what let it down - a lot.

Came in with loose wisdom tooth, dentist was amazing, had a look, took it out there and then. Very nervous patient and the dentist and dental nurse were amazing, keeping me calm. 10 out of 10 service.

EDIT: It has now been 6 months since our first visit and everything went smoothly, had very regular and multiple reminders of appointments (including myself now) on the run up to the day, Sanaz and the dental nurse who assisted were both professional and friendly. Cannot fault this visit.

Really easy to register my children and put myself onto the NHS waiting list. Dentist Sanaz was kind, patient and friendly towards the children and explained things clearly. Reception staff friendly and helpful when you speak to them, however the overall communication from the clerical side could be better. I was told I’d be paying reduced cost for myself on the Roderick scheme but that was no longer available and was not explained to me before attending my appointment, the dentist told me as they were about to examine me! I also did not get confirmation or reminder notifications for my appointment but I did for my children’s. I emailed the practice to change my appointment 2 weeks in advance and had no reply, not even to a second one I sent chasing my initial enquiry. I had to go into the practice in person where I was told my emails had been received but was best to ring in future! Hence my 4 star review.

The new dentist was brilliant, really gentle and kind.

I have a new dentist Ali Ghobadi. He has a wonderful sensitive way with his patients. Gentle hands and most courteous. His staff to we’re welcoming and friendly.
