The duo of the dentist and her nursing assistant worked together well and when things weren’t working correctly they worked well as a team to overcome the issues. The dentist Victoria made me feel very at ease despite being a nervous patient and in honesty it was probably the best filling appointment I’ve ever had. I was sore after the anaesthesia wore off but was pre warned about this by Victoria. The building and waiting room is a bit uninspiring and drab but the staff are not.

Great staff (what remains).
Issues with work done. Dirty glasses and light.
Long waits to be seen and repeated cancellations.
Feel like shortcuts were taken as there was no time to do the involved work.
Look forward to seeing better staff levels.

My experience
Dentist leaving at the end of the week. I just had a full plate fitted in May and it does not fit at all and extremely painful. The previous dentist left and it has taken me 3 months to get an appointment with a dentist who is now leaving so I cannot have any treatment and I'm in agony with this plate.

Treatment was good.
But, shocked and disappointed to learn that the only dentist is leaving imminently, leaving the practice with no dentist available. For patients in an emergency or in the middle of treatment, this is very worrying. Please sort it out quickly.

Carterton Dental
The drill wasn't working properly and it took a few minutes for them to sort out. The premises are generally tired and worn out looking. I had to wait 14 months for this appointment due to cancellations and dentists leaving so decay to tooth is worse than initially thought. Meaning the chance of a root canal and crown is higher. Children's check-ups were cancelled again.

Brilliant with my children
