Following an unpleasant previous visit and expecting a lecture about making an appointment with the hygienist I was very pleasantly surprised. I felt that I was listened to and my feelings and decisions were treated with respect.

Having had a fairly major week of emergency work done, I met everyone that works at Byways, and I have to say they are all excellent. The practice itself is light and airy, and doesn't have that same oppressive feel that most other dental practices seem to have. Everyone was very welcoming, non-judgemental and eager to assist.

I arrived for my appointment at 9.15 although my appointment was not until 9,40 as I misread the time of leaving as the time of the appointment. Despite this, Lucas was able to arrange for me to be seen early which was very much appreciated so I give full marks to everybody who were so flexible. This enabled me to catch the bus to Reading in time for my next appointment.

Checking in was fine. Was seen close to the appointment time. Hygienist was very good and fully explained a new procedure. The dentist was excellent as always, explaining fully the state of my teeth, what he was doing at the time and potential work for the future.
