I telephoned Byways a few minutes after 8:00 this morning with a significant dental problem. I was offered an appointment at 12:15 - which was good but things got better as a cancellation meant the receptionist was able to call me back 10, or so, minutes later and bring the appointment forward to 09:30. A nice example of proactive customer service. Once there the treatment could not, as ever, be criticised. By 10:00 the problem was fixed.

Amita, as always was efficient and friendly for my check-up and did oral checks and an x-ray. I saw Jenna for the first time for a hygienist appointment and she was excellent: thorough but gentle and this was facilitated by her dental assistant.

I had a molar extracted a few days ago by Sabina, the Periodontist. In summary, it was nothing to fear - the injection was very gentle and almost painless, and the extraction itself was not painful at all, and it was over more quickly and much more smoothly than I expected. In addition, I was given clearly written instructions for self-care over the following days, and was phoned by a dentist to check up on me the next day (even though it was a Bank Holiday). I would highly recommend Sabina, her nurse and the overall experience, as well as the practice overall.

First rate treatment
I have had a series of problems recently with a front tooth which has necessitated several unexpected calls to Byways. The receptionist has been polite and helpful and the subsequent treatment, from Lauren, first rate. I have had other, to my mind, daunting treatment when root canal surgery was required and I was pleasantly surprised and reassured that, although lengthy, it was not the painful process I had expected thanks to Pav.
