Receptionist was lovly, appointment was ten min late but this is understable as it prob hard to make sure everyone has a 20 min slot, advice was given about gum health as I'm rubbish at looking after my teeth overall good service no concerns

A pleasant experience
New receptionist, she was very pleasant and helpful, new dentist, very friendly and efficient and interested in my medical history, all in all a pleasant experience, how often can you say that with a dental appointment.

Bridges, extraction and fillings
I find Joanne an excellent dentist and if she was not practicing at Avon, I would not stay there. She is very considerate and informs me of any problem I might have.
I am a private patient and I find the principle of paying in advance not acceptable. I certainly would not fail to attend my appointment, unless I was ill and even then I would give Avon plenty of warning. Also I am almost 80, who knows how long I will last

Thank you for your review, that is lovely to hear that you are please with the service you receive from your Dentist Joanna, I will happily pass this feedback on to her. In regards to paying upfront for you appointment, this is a system that has been in place for a while now, it just seems to work best for the practice and the patients as it ensure that there is no hold up for the patients when leaving the practice, it also ensures that there appointment is secure. We also take payment upfront as being a very busy dental practice we tend to have many people not turn up to their appointment which makes it very difficult for patients that would like to be booked in be able to secure an appointment, I hope you can understand this.
In regards to being almost 80, we do hope that we will be seeing you many more times still in the future to come!

As a disabled client on benefits, I was told my NHS dentist is now private and the work I need done will be in excess of £700 possibly with another £1400 on top but with Denplan I can get 10% off. Nobody seemed to know what they were doing, everyone was polite but I couldn’t go upstairs and then they couldn’t find anything, possibly because it’s all new but it leaves me needing work and not being able to pay that sort of money so very disappointing.
