I don’t like dentists!
Mind you, I’ve already told you that in my last post. It’s all that sitting and waiting in the white walled cell of the waiting room, listening to all the screaming coming from behind anonymous white doors. Not good for the soul. I told you, I don’t like dentists!
However, you don’t want to hear about ‘Dentists in my Past’, you want to hear about the Avon Dental Practice.
Normally I breeze through six monthly check up’s and cleanings (both dentist and hygienist being fantastic) but recently six weeks of acute pain and threats of ‘root canal work’, ( I’m sure they could think of a better name for it!), extractions and amputations ( well not actual amputations!) left me terrified. All turned out to be a Wisdom tooth deciding to grow ( at 72!) sideways through the gum and not vertically. I must have been to and fro from the practice so often I almost qualified for holiday pay. From the receptionists to the dentist I had sympathy, empathy and professionalism during the whole agonising period.
Recommend them? Give me a call and I’ll drive you there myself!

Excellent service, the receptionist are lovely. I went in on tine and my crown was fitted perfectly. Justine is lovely.

Excellent dentist who explains everything and listens to the needs of the patient. Supported by a good reception and booking system.

Trainee receptionist texting constantly on her phone leaving the other receptionist to deal with all customers. She did not ask me to sign a form that the dental nurse requested and on return to reception was texting again. Dental treatment, nurse and dentist 5*. On way back to pay the trainee on phone again. Totally unimpressed.

Heidi was just fine. Gave authoritative and good advice. I'll be back in October!
