My visit to the Church View Dental Care on Monday 11th September 2023 was to see Dr Marcus Green which was to an emergency appointment with Marcus for an inspection to a troublesome lower left molar "wisdom tooth" which had cracked and moved causing discomfort and much toothache, with the possibility of having an Abcess under the tooth.
Marcus attended to the problem with the minimum of fuss, and recommended an extraction of the tooth due to its condition.
The prompt action an d professional skill of Dr Marcus Green (Dental Surgeon) was greatly appreciated.. and also to the help and assistance of the Dental Nurse during this one hour procedure.

Careful extraction
I arrived with a crown that had come out. Dr Katie Steed spotted that in fact the root of the tooth had fractured and that no crown would last. She explained that the only lasting solution was for the remains of the tooth to come out. She offered to do this straightaway. The injections were painless and very effective. Removing what was left of the tooth was difficult and prolonged with bits breaking off. However Dr Steed was re-assuring and regularly stopped to check I was OK. It took a lot of effort by her but the extraction was successfully achieved. I was given good information about how to look after the gap where the tooth had been. It was also nice to have a phone call the following day checking that I was still OK and did not need further advice. I can't say this was a pleasant experience, but I was pleased to be in very capable hands and to receive maximum care and attention throughout.

Genuine care and professionalism
Whilst my recent appointment was for a 6-monthly check-up, I had earlier discussed with Dr. Heum certain problems with my dentures which were causing me concern. Dr.Heum had been very helpful in finding a solution on that occasion and on this occasion took the time to point me in a sensible direction in order to obtain further advice and to discuss possible treatment regarding other ongoing difficulties. His genuine care and professionalism have been much appreciated over many years. I have given a slightly reserved assessment relating to my satisfaction with treatment outcome since there are ongoing issues but it should be noted that this is only a provisional marking at this stage.
