Fieldside Dental Practice

Great service, no messing, had my tooth out quicker than a f1 pit crew.

I was in the room for 3 minute's with chronic toothache. I have been to a different dentist and was told my nerve was severely infected, the tooth is now out and I feel so much better, no thanks to this dentist. He spent 10 seconds cleaning the wrong tooth and gave me a prescription for something that has not been made for several months, the chemist and my dentist was baffled. I only came here as 111 sent me, will never come back. Made me feel like I'd caused the infected by smoking which was confirmed not the case. I think I didn't get the quality of care because it was via NHS.

I'm very happy for everybody in Fieldside Dental Practice NHS because there's service and responsibility.

Friendly and informative.

I visited the Practice after having treatment (a filling ) elsewhere, which is causing me some discomfort. The treatment I received at Fieldside was exceptional, and I was given a full explanation of what could be causing me issues. I must stress that I found all of the staff here professional, friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this practice.

Helpful and friendly.

Came for an emergency appointment through NHS 111. Building is modern and clean. Parking is easy, staff were very welcoming and friendly, the dentist was amazing and really put me at ease.. Probably the best dental practice I’ve ever been to.

I am deaf, paralysed from the chest down and have extensive medical trauma from being seriously ill throughout my teen years. So I am terrified of the dentist.
However, upon arrival, the receptionists were lovely, once they realised I was deaf they made an effort to always look at me when speaking so I could read their lips.
Then the nurse was very kind, and again, once realising I was deaf she took off her mask so I could read her lips.
Got to the room, the dentist was confident, encouraging and reassuring. He also took off his mask so I could read his lips and made a real effort to always stand somewhere I could see him so I could read lips. He made a conscious effort to put me at ease, as did the nurse.
They offered to do my treatment from my chair if I couldn’t get onto the dentist chair but I was able to, again, being very accommodating.
My able bodied and hearing partner was with me and often, when a deaf person is accompanied by a hearing person, people will speak to your partner instead of you. This did not happen once. I was treated with respect and dignity, like a capable human, the way a 24 year old should be.
He diagnosed me promptly and prescribed me everything I need, gave me a run down of the problem and what to expect. I left feeling reassured, something I have never felt when leaving a dentist before.
Overall, I cannot rate this dentist highly enough. They are fantastic, and I really hope they read this, as I’m sure they don’t even realise how well they handled a deaf, disabled and fearful patient. Thank you Fieldside.
