My experience
Other than me asking for confirmation of what work was to be done there was no communication from the dentist as to what she was doing at any stage of the proceedings. Parts of it were uncomfortable - the use of UV light, for example - and parts downright painful (the hygiene treatment). I had to call a halt at one stage.
I am normally stoic about personal discomfort and generally have a high pain threshold but - depending on the response to this review - I will be looking for a new dentist or a new practice. I felt more like a mouth to be worked on rather than a human being with wants and needs.
Finally the practice of being asked to pay in full ahead of treatment is not one I’ve come across before.

Called to book my first appointment. I decided to go private because of the lack of local NHS services. The receptionist on the phone was very helpful, explained everything for me and the costs and was seen in a timely manner. Thank you for the excellent service.
