St John's Dental Practice
I like the practice, but appointments are never to time. I wait on average 30 mins after my appointment time before going in. I'm sure it wouldn't be acceptable for me to turn up 30 mins late for my appointment. And, I totally understand that sometimes previous appointments run over, but I've been with this practice for 8 years and it's every time.

Recent dental appointment
Bart was behind with the appointments so the receptionist rang and made mine later which was much better than hanging around in the waiting room. When I went later I was seen straight away.

Not really dental-related but... Yesterday, my partner and I had check-up appointments at the same time, so we took our 9 month old with us. She ended up screaming and crying even though staff tried to comfort her. Gratefully, they let me hold her on my chest whilst I had my check-up and she stayed still the whole time. What was turning into an embarrassing and disastrous situation ended just fine thanks to the patient and understanding staff at St John’s Dental Practice. Thank you 😊

Recent dental appointment
Receptionist with nose rings, in casual clothes, speaking too fast whilst continuing a conversation with another staff member and waving a tablet around for finger signature does not fit with a welcoming friendly professional establishment. The other receptionist that booked my next appointment was friendly smart and dealt solely with me.
Nose rings do not create the correct image, smart uniform does!

Dental appointment
Dentist refused to remove stains from teeth and told me I'd have to see hygienist. Frustrating when scale and polish is included in nhs treatment. NHS service is being degraded to make more money?

Thank you for your comment. The NHS provides a scale and polish which is clinically necessary, unfortunately the hygienist is sometimes the best option for the patient.

My only complaint is one of your receptionists when I went in for my appointment told me I'd cancelled it and made one for May when actually I'm away then. She wouldn't accept I hadn't cancelled even though I'd turned up for the appointment!!
