Broken Tooth - Emergency Filling
I wish to express my deepest gratitude to the team at Chong Kwan Dental Care. I chipped my tooth at 6:40pm on Thursday evening. Phoned the surgery and Jeanette, as always handled my call very friendly and professionally. I was delighted to be offered an appointment that same evening at 7:30pm. That is amazing service. The dental team of Auleep & Nicole once again were very friendly and professional. Even at that time of evening after a full day of working. Auleep & Nicole put me at ease and checked my tooth very efficiently. The great news was I would receive a permanent repair and no need to make a return visit. The work was carried out very swiftly and patiently, whilst Auleep took great care to shape the filling exactly to suit my bite. Before I left Auleep also took the time to explain other products and services that may be beneficial for the future. Five star service and will always highly recommend! Many thanks again!

Honest, kind, considerate
I have been with this dental practice for years and hope for years to come, from the receptionist to the dentist they are all respectful, always put the patient's needs first and are very honest, kind, considerate and gentle as they can be. I have no complaints at all about anyone or anything, they always go out of their way to accommodate me just like today, so thank you for that.

Sophie was great. She listened to my concerns and explained things really well throughout my check up. She made me feel at ease.
I am, however, disappointed that the practice is going private. I have been with this practice as an NHS patient since I was a child and feel that I have been given no choice but to go private. I feel extremely let down.

While we are glad that you appreciate the attention and care you receive from your dentist, we do understand your frustration with our withdrawal of NHS services. The practice has provided NHS treatment since 1954 and I have done so for 41 years. Cutting our NHS commitment back to current children only has not been an easy decision and we know that this places many patients in a difficult position. This decision would not have been made if we thought the NHS would enable us to continue delivering our best to all the patients in our care. It is fundamentally politicians who have decided to cut NHS fees in real terms by 35% over the last decade and not to lift the cap on the numbers of doctors and dentists the universities are allowed to train. We would therefore welcome any pressure you may choose to put on your MP and MSP to save NHS dentistry. You do have the option of staying with us privately and of course we will be delighted if you do and grateful to you for the improved funding model this enables, however you do have the option of finding an NHS dentist. If you phone 01592 226555 the dental helpline will be able to advise on this.
