Check-up
Having in the past had a bad experience with a dentist, on my previous check-up the gentleman was kind and considerate.
I do not like the use of ‘sharp’ implements and the examination was carried out with their use.
However on my visit today this was not the case and I felt he had no patient compassion or understanding and was rude. I said I didn’t want any implements used and was told he couldn’t carry out the examination without them! I was told having said I was not happy about this, having compared a dental examination to a heart surgeons appointment I was told to ‘ book another dentist’
I asked the receptionist to book another appointment with another dentist but was bluntly told this would not be possible unless I went private!
Overall I found the whole experience far from acceptable.
Apparently the particular dentist had recently see seen my wife and carried out an examination with only a mirror and his fingers, as she also finds visiting the dentist unnerving.

Good, but always late
I really like my hygienist and I find the reception staff really helpful and polite.
But every single time I have my appointment they are at least 15 minutes late.
I am always super early (which I appreciate is my choice) but to then wait even longer for my appointment is really annoying.
One time I was waiting over 25 minutes.
It happened again today and I thought to myself, with the price of my plan going up. I might just look at going as & when as the lateness is a bit of a pain.

Anxious patient
As an anxious patient I always try and book the earliest available appointment so that I don’t have to wait too long! Then having to wait 30 it is gruelling, heart pounding, shaking hands and feeling sick. Please try and take into account how some of us have genuinely worked up for these check ups.

All staff are very friendly, helpful and understanding of someone who has feared dentists for years. I wouldn't say it is now a pleasure to visit the dentist, but it is far less stressful visiting this Practice.
