Harwood Dental Care

For those who are terrified of pain or going to the dentist, I cannot recommend Dipesh and his team enough.

I used to travel over an hour to go to my old dentist after we moved because of such aweful experiences in other practices. So when my old dentist retired I cried. That's right; a grown woman cried at the thought of having to find someone new to trust.

Harwood was recommended to do root canal by a dentist who although was lovely and had already done a filling for me, wasn't trained in Root Canal procedures. For me it's imperative that I have a dentist that can do all treatment no matter how complicated, so when I visited Harwood for a consultation, you can imagine how I felt about having to see yet another dentist. But from the moment you walk into Harwood Dental Care on your first visit to the treatement itself, you feel at ease and welcomed by a lovely team.

Dipesh listened to me. He didnt make me feel like " He knew best" or that what I was saying was invalid. He took on board every one of my concerns and he was patient, present and he took his time to go through everything that needed doing. Nothing was too much. This was before any treatement so it made it all the more easier to cope with the aniticipation of having the Root Canal done.

Well today I can say he and his assistant were abosuletly incredible. I started off shaking and close to tears with fear to being completely relaxed and settled in just a few minutes. I didnt feel a thing after the anesthetic was applied. It was like being at my old dentist but surrounded with more state of the art equipment and better music (I hope he doesnt read this one day ;) )

I have to go back for more work on my teeth but it is safe to say that my nerves are significantly reduced and the fear of being hurt during any proceedure has all but disappeared.

Thank you to all of you at Harwood. You should be very proud of the environment you have created and what you do.

After years of poor dentistry I decided to spend a considerable amount of time researching a new dental practice. After hours of trawling through local practices I stumbled across Harwood Dental Care and I'm glad I did. Dipesh and the team are absolutely fantastic. Dipesh's approach and meticulous attention to detail are second to none and I honestly wouldn't trust anyone else with my teeth. I am now on top of my dental health and I couldn't be any happier.

Crown fell off and was seen within 2 hours of ringing. Despite previously been told there was decay under crown and needed replacing dentist cleaned crown and tooth, Xrayed, no decay and replaced crown with excellent results. I found the dentist very caring, honest and skilled.

Excellent Service
My son had an envisalign brace fitted to his top teeth, the whole process from start to finish took 9 months and the results are excellent.

It was a little bit more expensive that the standard railway tracks which we were originally going to have, but taking into account the fact that you could not tell when my son was wearing the brace and the time frame 9 months as appose to 18 months it was well worth the money.

The aftercare was also great with a fixed retainer put in place after the envisalign and check ups built in with the cost.

We also found the Dentist and staff at Harwood Dental Care excellent. I would have no hesitate in recommending them if you are considering a brace for a family member or yourself.

I am getting married in July this year and I had been deliberating for ages about getting my teeth done before the wedding. I not sure what was putting me off, perhaps the cost or just the idea of having a brace on for a long time with lots of social events already planned.
I thought I had left it too late to get my teeth sorted in time for the wedding – there was only 12 months to go. I went for my initial consultation in July last year and met Vilas who advised me on everything I needed to know. After this consultation, I had no doubts I wanted to do it. By the end of August the brace was on and amazingly, the middle of February the brace was off again! I couldn’t believe the progress and how quick it was. We're now in May, well in advance of the wedding in July and I have already finished my whitening, had my final appointment and my teeth are looking perfect for the big day!!
I want to say a huge thankyou to Vilas for her expertise. She, and the whole team at Harwood Dental are very friendly. I hadn’t been to a dentist since before I left for uni, over 10 years ago, so at first I was a bit nervous about getting my teeth looked at, almost a little embarrassed. But every appointment I was made to feel comfortable and relaxed. I went for the bracket rather than invisilign and even the appointments to fit and remove the brace were so easy. It took about a week to get used to the brace being on but I generally experienced no pain or discomfort and the results are amazing.
I feel so much more confident and already can’t wait to see my wedding photos 😁😁😁! I would certainly recommend Harwood Dental Care and thankyou again!

I started my journey at Harwood dental care 6 months ago, after not attending a dentist for 4years, due to anxiety of being in pain and having to be numbed bad past experiences, I spoke with Dipesh and instantly felt as ease, and excited to get going on fixing my smile, I wanted all new veneers and he managed to convince me round to allowing him to do his thing in hope I’d be happy in my own smile by the end, and he did just that, the difference is unreal not only in my teeth but my train of thought too, I used to not sleep before appointments, avoid them, and have to be driven to and from and accompanied, at Harwood dental care I get up and go myself with not a worry in sight, and that’s been the biggest outcome my parents could have wished for, I’m now a member and can’t wait to be cared for by such a friendly, clean, well organised dentist for the rest of my life. You really do get what you pay for here no corners cut 5 star service.

Having had an accident meaning I could no longer have a crown on my front tooth, I was in a pretty poor position with the NHS unable to cover anything apart from a denture. Being in my 30s I obviously didn’t want a denture so I started to explore dental implants knowing it wouldn’t be cheap. I was dreading months of complicated dental surgery and endless hassle.

From the moment I walked into Harwood Dental Care and met Dipesh and Vilas, I knew I was in safe hands. They are the friendliest most professional dentists I have encountered who show a genuine interest in your dental care whilst explaining everything in a transparent and simple way. I am one of those nervous patients. Like most people I fear the dentist. I decided to go private because I was unhappy with my teeth and desperately wanted them fixing. I was warmly welcomed and Dr Patel sat and listened to what I wanted. I explained I was a nervous patient and he was so kind and nothing was too much trouble and my consultation wasn't rushed. Within a few weeks I had arranged for a long appointment (4 hours ) to get all my teeth cleaned, filled and looking wonderful. Once again the staff were lovely. From the lady at reception, the poor dental nurse Emma who had to put up with me and of course Dr Patel. Everything was at my pace and it was all very calm. I am so happy with my teeth now they honestly look amazing! I would 100% reccomend Dr Patel and his amazing staff!

I have been a patient of Harwood Dental Care for a couple of years now after coming highly recommended by friends and colleagues. All staff are professional and friendly. Dental visits are quite anxiety provoking for me but these anxieties are eased as soon as I walk through the door to be greeted (usually by Kath). I have had extensive dental work carried out by Dipesh and his colleagues and have always been treated with the utmost professionalism. All treatment plans are fully discussed with me and this makes me feel part of the decision making process. The practice is always spotlessly clean. Can't recommend this team highly enough. My teeth made me not want to smile or laugh (show happiness in general!). I actually had braces when I was 16 for 2 years, but didnt follow the correct aftercare and my teeth quickly reverted to their old wonky positions. At 27 and getting married in a year, I searched for places to get advise about teeth straightening - and came across Harwood Dental Care.

I explained my situation to Dipesh - that I had 10 months to get my teeth straight if possible, as I wanted to be able to look back at the photos and videos of my wedding without regret, and without the pictures being ruined (at least in my eyes) by the awkward face I would pull, instead of smiliing or laughing. Dipesh took all of the x rays and talked me through the process in a really easy to understand and logical manner - reasussring me and professionally addressing any concerns I had. I was given the pricing of the treatment, but I felt no pressure at all to commit to anything.

I decided to go through with the braces and looking back it was one of the best decision I have made in my life. I was able to smile and laugh without any worry for how it would come across. It 100% improved my wedding day, not just because of my teeth, but what having straight teeth gave me in terms of confidence, the ability to relax and be myself, on a day that means so much. My wife often tells me how my attidtude has changed since having braces - being generally happier and having more confidence.

As a result, not only do I now have teeth I am proud of, but I have photos and videos of my wedding that I can look back at for the rest of my life with happiness, not embarrassment.

Since using Harwood Dental Care to straighten my teeth, I now use them as my dental practise. I have 2 health checks and 2 hygiene treatments a year and I couldnt be happier. The professionalism, quality and unintimidating nature of all of the staff makes you feel comfortable and welcome. I have never enjoyed going to the dentist in the past, but its actually something I do happily, in the knowledge that I am being treated with the utmost care and expertise.
