Dentists are great but afternoon receptionist rude and full of herself

Dental care here is 5 Star but the afternoon receptionist has a poor and uncaring attitude. As a result I had to attend my appointment with an awful migraine as she was only interested in policy and not patient welfare. I wouldn’t normally write a poor review as the dentists here are amazing and the nurses too but this is the second time I’ve received attitude from the afternoon receptionist.

This was our first check up. The dentist was gentle, and spoke clearly about treatment. Our appointment was delayed, by some time, but apologies were given and our experience was a good one.

Not sure I expect a conversation about alcohol consumption with the Hygienist or dentist. Leave that for my GP.

Tooth extraction

I was greeted by 3 cheerful smiling faces at reception, we chatted and she asked me to sit and wait. I went in to the treatment room fairly quickly which was lovely and cool, it was hot outside, I was greeted by 2 smiling faces and while I put my belongings in the box provided we chatted, then I sat in the chair while the dentist told me what he was going to do. Which was what we agreed last time. All over with in a few minutes, he asked me to move and after each time I moved he asked me if I was ok. All happy and one tooth less I left.

Did not take the easy option and just pull the tooth, saved it with some thought and work and it is now crowned - it is a test but see if it lasts.

Tudor is always very lovely and treats you like a person as well as a patient. I don’t get the “pre dentist fear” coming to Parkway, the staff are always welcoming and very helpful.
