Consultation teeth extract

I was shocked to be told I would have to pay to have 3 teeth taken out that need to come out. 440.00 is out of my reach being on benefits and over 65 yrs old and have an exemption certificate in place. I was not informed of this on my appointment to discuss having these teeth out. So not happy I'm not a private patient.

If a patient can tolerate extractions under local anaesthesia, then this treatment would be covered by the NHS and the fee waved by the exemption certificate. Our practice is not permitted to provide treatment under NHS sedation, but we are able to provide this as a private fee-paying service. Currently referrals to the NHS sedation service can take up to 2-3 years. We are sorry if this structure was not explained fully prior to the private sedation consultation.
