Check up

New dentist today and the visit was disappointing. The dentist was friendly and chatty (and perhaps over eager to sell “extras”).
Most worryingly of all the check up was almost non existent. He must have looked in my mouth for no more than a few seconds, there was no probing of any teeth.
Previously on my visits to this practice the dentist was very thorough, checked every tooth and passed instructions for his assistant to note down.
I appreciate that these are challenging times and the Covid precautions were excellent. However, I left feeling very short changed and wondering whether I should look elsewhere.

General

This dentist has always treated me and my children well. The only complaint I have is timings. If the patient is even 5 min late they will cancel the appointment but they have no problem making you wait up to 20 minutes past your appointment time with no real explanation. This should be improved because anxious patients find it difficult enough to attend let alone having to wait. This happens every visit they are late.

Special filling/ implant

This went ok but needed a second visit to fix implant permanently. Seems ok now , time will tell.otherwise usual excellent service

Dental repairs to old fillings

I am very lucky with my dental practice. Parkway have always given my family and me a fantastic service. Online booking in and COVID safe procedures made it an enjoyable experience. Even with no aesthetic. The new Dentist Chiara, was very pleasant through out.

Replacement of old filling

Everything was explained very carefully and both James and the nurse were very reassuring(I'm a nervous patient). Work carried out without any pain and minimal discomfort. All very good.

All personnel are very personable and show they care. It is never something to look forward to, going to the dentist, but they all make it as good as it can be.
