Whenever i have visited staff have been great. However, the practice cancels far too many appointments. This is not a recent thing either. It wears thin when you have appointments made months in advance and they frequently get cancelled short notice.

Felt surgery had done everything possible to make visit as Covid safe as possible: waiting in car until staff comes to collect you, temperature taken, hand sanitizer supplied on way in and exit, ensuring that masks are worn properly - unless medically exempt

Excellent dental care
I have had repeated excellent, professional and helpful care. This appt was as an emergency and they were very accommodating, especially given the pandemic. However I was very surprised the staff have so far not done lateral flow tests. The staff are predominantly young and female so the risks to them of covid are very low. The risks to their older, especially male (I am female), patients of staff having asymptomatic disease which they can transmit are significant. PPE and airflow are very important and have been addressed but I think the dental and nursing staff should be regularly screened, even though lateral flow tests are not foolproof. The rest of the arrangements were meticulously carried out but that did feel like a glaring omission.

Tooth removal
I had a broken tooth that needed removing. The whole procedure was pain free and quick even though my tooth did not want to come out. All the staff are very friendly and professional. Mr Cottrell was very gentle and made me feel at ease.

Very professional and told me what he was doing at all times. Gave me the options I had. Took his time didn’t feel rushed. Although I didn’t have much information to go home with as in what to do and what not to do in terms of eating, drinking etc. For someone who hasn’t had a filling since childhood I was very worried when I got home. I was also given no information or reassurance on what to do if my tooth hurts longer than an expected period and I was too nervous being there in the first place to even ask for questions until I got home which then it was too late.
