Emergency appmt - loose implant
An implant I had fitted by Smilesavers in 2018 worked loose so I phoned my registered surgery (Parkway) to see if they could help. I made it clear it was implant that was the trouble. I was offered an emergency appointment that same day.
However, when I attended, the dentist poked around the loose implant, took an X-ray and said there was nothing he could do and I should contact Smilesavers.
I was a little bit vexed to have paid £22.70 only to be told there was nothing that could be done. Surely, that could have been made clear when I first contacted reception.
Parkway is a very good dental surgery, and I am pleased to be a registered patient but this has left a slight taste in my mouth and an unnecessary dent in my bank balance.

Following an initial examination last week I attended for a tooth extraction this morning. As always the staff are welcoming and helpful. There was 100% adherence to the COVID regulations. I feel very nervous about going to the dentist but Mr Cottrell always makes me feel at ease, he explains everything to me and listens to my concerns. All the staff are friendly and helpful. Parkway Dentalcare is a great place to go and it’s always very clean and tidy.
I was worried as I had to visit during the pandemic but they had all the necessary precautions in place, they couldn’t have done anymore and I felt safe all the time I was in there. Thank you to everyone at Parkway.
