Welcoming, professional, considerate and thorough, whilst also managing to be funny and instantly able to put me at ease. The ladies greeted both myself and my child with a smile and took the time to have a conversation with my child which was appropriate, genuine and made her feel relaxed too. Despite not having visited a hygienist for a few years, my nerves were quickly allayed and I was distracted from the inevitable noises by the engaging conversation. There is not a lot of parking space at the surgery and if you go into the car park to find there isn't a space it is quite difficult to turn to come out. The waiting area is nicely lit and always very clean. The reception staff are always friendly and welcoming. It's a bit of a pain that we have to complete a form every time we visit, but I guess this is an NHS requirement. My appointment overran about 5 minutes, which is minimal. The dental nurse and Lloyd are both friendly and welcoming. Lloyd was very thorough, spending a bit of time on a tooth that has a problem and reviewing all my teeth in terms of filling type and material used. He did a gum test, which can be unpleasant, but it did not hurt at all this time. He found a small lump on my tongue, which I hadn't noticed, and advised me to keep an eye on it and go back to him if there were any developments. Good practice, good people.
