Feeling sick in the waiting room before going in for my first consultation after many years of not seeing a dentist, I was greeted by the kindest dentist Terrianne Douglas and her team. I am a gagger so was unable to have an x-ray but I was reassured that it wasn't a problem and then discussed what I needed to have done after the consultation. I felt relaxed knowing that Terrianne was very understanding and was providing me with the best treatment. Well done to Terrianne and her team, for making me feel so much better about my fear of dentist, here's to a great relationship going forward.

Dental work at Parkway
The new dentist Terrianne is really good and made the experience a lot easier. Reception staff are always warm and friendly. Did have to wait a while but reception came over and made sure this was okay with me and offered to reschedule if not.

I had to wait 40 minutes after my appointment time to be seen. When I suggested that customers are sent a text informing them of delays, (as they do at my opticians) this was met by a stony silence. I also seem to have a new dentist each time I go without explanation, so there is no continuity of care. I always used to have a scrape and polish as part of my check up at my old dentist but that never happens at Parkway.

Hygenist appointment with Robin
To be totally honest I loathe going to the dentist and hygienist as am scared stiff from previous bad experiences. I had an appointment with Robin yesterday and it was the best appointment I’ve ever had. She was kind, gentle and caring. She kept checking that I was ok, gave me lots of good advice and didn’t conduct a conversation with her nurse/assistant over my head which I loved. It was the best uncomfortable experience ever.
I totally recommend Parkway to anyone nervous of going to dental appointments, just make sure you tell them when you register.
