My experience

The actual dentist Brian Simmons was very polite, friendly. But the practice - the building soon as you walk in through the front door there was a very strong stench, horrible smell. It was the same in the waiting room and the treatment room. It was just unbearable! I don’t know how the staff could work there. I had to mention it to the dentist and the reception staff. It sounds like it has been there for some time. They told me there was a dead rat somewhere. Clearly no effort had been made to use something to eliminate this awful smell. IT WAS NOT A NICE EXPERIENCE!!! I need to use a hygienist but it’s too expensive! It is not done under nhs. I’m not happy about it. All my life I had my teeth cleaned by the dentist which I prefer.

As soon as the problem came to our attention, we had professionals come into the practice to find the origin of the odour. Unfortunately, this was not something under our control as the there was nothing within the practice premises that was causing it. This was and is still being monitored and checked every few days . We have taken every possible step to get to the bottom of it. I am happy to say that things are back to normal again.
Hygiene services are not available under the NHS but dentists will carry out a basic scale and polish if needed under the NHS Band 1
treatment.

Pre-visit I was texted to complete paperwork online which was very helpful and reduced time at the counter
