My entire family sees Dr. Thomas Gacesa at Oakland’s Dental Surgery, and we honestly couldn't be happier with the care we receive. From the moment you walk through the doors, the atmosphere is warm, professional, and welcoming. Dr. Gacesa is incredibly knowledgeable, gentle, and patient — qualities that make all the difference, especially when treating kids (or nervous adults!).
He takes the time to explain procedures clearly, never rushes appointments, and genuinely cares about our long-term dental health. Whether it's a routine check-up, a filling, or more complex dental work, we always leave feeling confident and well looked after.
The entire team at Oakland’s is fantastic — friendly reception staff, skilled hygienists, and a calm, well-organized clinic. It’s rare to find a dental practice that combines technical excellence with such a personal touch. We're lucky to have found Dr. Gacesa, and we wouldn’t go anywhere else!

My experience
All good. It looks like the dental surgery has merged with another company. All the old faces have gone which is sad to see but the new staff are nice & the dental surgeon was very good & friendly. They were running behind so had to wait an extra 45 minutes before I saw the dentist so that was slightly annoying but these things happen.

It was my first time in seeing the new dentist at the practice. I didn't feel she was thorough & felt it was very rushed. Like she wanted me in & out. I have been a patient at this practice many, many years, my previous dentist retired, I was informed I had to go to the new dentist & had no choice. I am not happy with the current changes at all

Oaklands Dental Surgery
As usual, the appointment was met within a couple of minutes, both members of staff were cheerful and friendly. The injection was so good I didn’t feel it at all. Tom talked through what he was going to do while the gum was numbing and there was no discomfort at all. I have no complaints at all, nor have I had over the course of treatments. Thank you.
