I’ve been with Oaklands Dental Surgery for around 40 years and always had great service from my regular dentist BUT for the last year or two have seen a different dentist each visit and this time the dentist was so rough, I have had problems with sensitivity and pain since my visit 10 days ago.

My appointment today ran as I expected and I was very happy with all aspects of it. My dentist, Alex, is excellent. He outlines my dental health and provides excellent advice. This survey is overdone in my opinion.

I have had a normal checkup with Stella today. Literally, it was 5 mins in duration and it cost me £42!!. I know you have not had a price increase for the last 5 years but is the increase due to us patient's paying for the extension of the practice, to fund that?
So in total for 30 mins service, 5 with Stella and 25 with the hygienist it has set me back £108.
I will have to go elsewhere as I am unable to be able to afford these prices.
Although the majority of the staff are pleasant and polite, there is no justification for the charges that have been levied on me.
My hygienist was good and was thorough. However, I find paying £66 for a total of 25 mins service appalling as opposed to £35 I was paying a few years ago for the same amount of time, 25 minutes!! For £66 I should be getting at least 35 mins service from the hygienist?? Not happy
