My experience
I came for a check up appointment but had started experiencing pain in a tooth a few days prior. I explained this to the dentist I saw but she failed to fully investigate and didn't bother taking an x-ray, she identified the problem tooth and gave it a visual inspection only. I was sent on my way with the advice to relax in case I caused the issue due to grinding my teeth. Over the next two days the pain got worse and I had to book another appointment two days later. At that appointment I had an x-ray and the tooth was shown to be infected and I was put on antibiotics. As a result of the failure to investigate the pain fully at the first appointment. I had to take time off work, suffered several days of more severe pain than necessary, and most annoying of all was charged for both appointments when it all could have been dealt with in the first appointment had the dentist taken the appropriate measures and x-rays.
