New crown

My new crown looks and feels amazing! I’m so pleased and had no idea how awful the old one was until I saw the quality and fit of this one.
Derick noticed I was anxious straight away and made me feel totally relaxed.

Brilliant

As always, Ash and the team were brilliant. I’m not keen on going to the dentist due to previous experiences, however Ash is brilliant! I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Today I visited the hygienist Jessica, who was well prepared having read previous notes, gentle in her work and informed me well about additional cleaning. I then visited Dr Ash - always cheerful and professional. Many thanks you two -

Tooth extraction and readiness for an implant

Derek recently removed a tooth which previously had a root canal. He explained what he would do and then kept me informed at every stage of the procedure, making sure that I was ok and comfortable. I feel sorry for dentists as nobody really wants to visit them, yet Derek was a reassuring presence along with his kind assistant, April. I can't say I'm looking forward to the next stage of the procedure, but I'm glad that Derek and his team are doing it. I'm in great hands.

Fillings and scan for denture scan

I am a very very nervous patient, but Derek and his whole term are purely Angels. They go out of their way to make me feel really calm and explain step by step what will be done and with reassure the whole way through. They will never do any treatment without me knowing and when I am feeling anxious they stop and give me time to gather myself. I had stopped going to the dentist because of one dentist not caring and being extremely rough and with no empathy but thank god I have found this practice, I am a grown woman but not once have this term of lovely professionals have made me feel stupid, actually its just praise I have received for even turning up.

6 Monthly Checkup and Hygienist

Derek was as usual very friendly and thorough in examining my mouth. Took an x-ray, explained I would need some fillings replaced. The Hygienist and her assistant were very thorough explaining what they were doing, encouraging me, informing me on how to clean my teeth even better. I was shown photos of improvement in my gum health from 6 months previously achieved through improved brushing technique as recommended in October.

A session with the hygienist

I get flash backs to traumatic dental work I had as a child some 60 years ago whenever I think of going to the dentist, but these have almost gone thanks to the care and professionalism of Derek and his team at Christchurch Dental Practice. Today's clean and polish with Jess was almost a delight!
