I was refered here by my own dentist because of difficulties with a tooth extraction, I was contacted the very same day by a pleasant team member & was seen the next day. Amazing treatment & care from the moment i arrived until the moment i left. I was offered a drink, the waiting room was lovely & welcoming everyone were friendly & listened & the first class treatment i received from Dr Megan Samuel & her assistant Hollie was above & beyond . Everything was explained constant praise as i was treated ,& a discussion as to what to do for aftercare. The only negative was i am disabled which they were unaware & i had to climb the stairs but they helped me every step of the way. I have enquired about transferring to this practice & will definately look into doing so in the near future. I would advise anyone looking for the perfect dentist to try here & be satisfied with a first class experience.

Examination of gum and tooth area.
Ash explained all of the process exceptionally well, and as he was doing the treatment was asking if I was alright. Ash also explained in detail what was best to do around eating and drinking when I got home.

All staff always give a personal friendly service. My dentist takes care to ensure that I am comfortable and at ease. His work is to a very high standard - he takes time to ensure that the preparation and finish is good and never rushes. He is also careful to explain what he is doing. He shows me before and after photos and discussed them with me. Quotations are clear and my treatment coordinator takes time to talk to me about them. My hygienist takes care to clean my teeth without harm. Her advice has been very helpful and has improved my daily dental care regime. I feel confident that my teeth are being well cared for

Exceptional care that is a rarity
Just had my oral health examination prior to becoming a new patient and I must say that I was extremely impressed and satisfied with the care and thoroughness during the appointment. This is something that I have not experienced elsewhere in the past. Everyone was kind, respectful and polite. Excellent service.

Wisdom tooth extraction
Meg extracted a troublesome wisdom tooth with superb professionalism and no pain. I was somewhat apprehensive but she put my mind at rest and completed the procedure quickly and efficiently. I feel very lucky to have access to such a talented team including Meg, Derek, Ash and Abdullah plus the excellent support team. I have been a patient since Derek started the business many years ago and I can wholeheartedly recommend the team to any new patient.

Best Treatment
I see the Hygienist regularly but I have to say Jess is the best yet. She knows exactly what she's doing and has consistently given me very good advice as to how to brush the difficult bits to get to along with ridding my teeth of plaque as painlessly as she can. Long may she continue. I would like to add that the service at Reception is also thoroughly professional with all queries quickly answered with a smile!

My Christchurch dental experience
I am a returning patient who hadn’t been since the covid lockdown. I am petrified of dentists and have been plucking up the courage to go back. I have to say it’s the best move I have ever made, Ash and Kirsty were totally amazing, I felt so reassured and comfortable, and very well informed. I have now booked all my appointments for the rest of the year and am looking forward to my return. Thank you to the whole team for my great experience

Superb dental practice
Being greeted by such cheerful staff at Christchurch Dental always helps to allay fears about any visit. The check up is discussed every step of the way and reasons given and alternatives suggested. Questions are always invited about any queries you may have. Dr van Staden is incredibly thorough with his approach and realistic about potential treatment for you now and into the future. The new hygienist Kirsty was equally thorough with my visit to her. Her cheery and knowledgeable approach gave me confidence and again explanations were given and questions were asked for at every step of the way. I totally recommend this superb dental practice.

It was amazing
I am not keen on the thought of two fillings on a Monday morning, especially having been told that they would be tricky! Everything went so well, my worst part of dental treatment is always the aftermath of the injection, but this morning I was given the option of not having one and it was amazing, just minor discomfort, no pain and no numbness when you don’t know if you are dribbling and can’t drink your coffee! Thank you Derek and April.

Hygienist and xrays
Having not been to a dentist for several years due to moving house and just reluctance I knew I had to go, and I knew I would have issues. That said I have to say the hygienist Jess and her colleague were quite exceptional, coming from an age where we never had injections, I’m one of those people who’ve had horrid experiences in the past and are loathing to attend. But I felt very at ease.
