Christchurch Dental Practice
I have recently had two appointments, one with the dentist and one with the hygienist, both of whom have treated my teeth previously.
Both did an excellent job. The hygienist and her colleague also gave me helpful advice on how to improve the hygiene of my teeth and gums. As a result of my dental check up, one of my teeth requires treatment. The reason for this and the aimed end result were clearly explained. Many thanks to all concerned.

I hadn't used this practice before but withing 2 hrs of calling had an emergency appointment, amazingly helpful caring staff and very reassuring. Being a private practice yes it does cost money but I would highly recommend regardless. Absolutely brilliant service.

I have been a patient at Christchurch Dental Practice since it opened. I would not consider moving to another dentist.
The reception staff were very friendly and efficient. My checkup with Dr Derek was thorough as always, x-rays were taken and the results shown and explained to me.
The hygienist was excellent absolutely no pain or discomfort and I was encouraged to maintain my tooth cleaning regime. Extra advice was given on how to clean a hard to reach area.

100% recommend the dental surgery
Derek makes every patient feel so welcome when he greets you, Kirsty worked very well with me on my hygienist appointment and talks you through everything she does, lovely chat with Poppy (receptionist) and answers any questions you might have. 100% recommend the dental surgery to anybody especially if you are nervous

I have been coming here for over a year now, so this is a well overdue review.
Firstly, reception are very friendly and welcoming, with a calm atmosphere whilst you wait to be seen.
Dr Derek has been fantastic, helping me regain confidence through the work he has completed so far, it really has made an impact on every day life, so I thank you for that. Kirsty the hygienist is also very reassuring when carrying out work and makes things as easy as possible.
This place is by far the best dentist I have ever used.

A very satisfying experience
I attended Tuesday 16th Sept 2025 for a 9.30am hygienist appointment with Kirsty. On arrival, I was politely informed she was running 20 minutes late which I really appreciated and managed to attend another event before returning for my delayed appointment.
Once in the chair everything was explained beforehand and then actioned with usual high level of performance. We discussed her findings and suggestions. I then met another lady who took 3d x-ray image of my current teeth and bite pictures. Again everything was explained to me and I reviewed her results. All happy. Then I went back to reception and the lady explained what had been pre-paid via my insurance. I asked for packs of the blue and purple tooth picks and that was quickly sorted and paid for Finally she booked me in my next appointment and kindly wrote them down on a card to help me remember. As usual all in all a very satisfying experience provided by everyone I saw yesterday - even if they were not directing working for my visit but recognised me.
You can't ask much for imo.
