The Lighthouse Dental Practice

Today I had my dental treatment with Dr Tocca @the Lighthouse Dental Practice, I just wanted to say how marvellous they all were including the hygenist Roberta, receptionist, and nurses. I am not the bravest patient but they really did make the treatment pain free. I would have no hesitation in recommending this dentist to the many other nervous patients out there. Thanks all again.

I have been a patient at this practice for a number of years and I can’t see myself going anywhere else. This is by no means my local dental practice but certainly worth driving in from out of town. Who enjoys going to the dentist? No one of course but this team are so friendly, welcoming and professional, you will really feel at ease from the moment you step through the door to be greeted by the friendly receptionist to the moment you leave after your treatment.
Dr. Codrin Tocca is a superb dentist, always happy to discuss concerns and explain things clearly. My visit today was to hygienist, Angela Leech and from her friendly welcome I was at ease immediately. I really liked that she took the time to explain every part of the treatment and why it was being done, she also offered lots of tips to help me and gave me a demonstration of how I should use my electric toothbrush and interdental brushes for best results. If you want a friendly, safe, professional dental practice , look no further.

The dentist I saw was Kate Ranson. she was friendly, explained everything clearly and in everyday terms. I had a filling today and I can honestly I barely felt anything, she was gentle and thorough with it and I had no sensitivity either, in the past with dentists. She has a professional , caring and gentle manner about her and as someone who suffers with anxiety issues I felt very relaxed having treatment today. She’s the best dentist I’ve had to date. Would recommend her . The receptionist is always friendly and professional too. Feel lucky and Very happy to be a patient at this practice.

I called as an emergency patient.All the staff was really very kind and friendly specially the receptionist response was very helpful and she answered all my queries with enough patient.During the time of coronavirus they follow all the protocol set by govt.my doctor too examined me very carefully and given me his best advice.

This is a very special dental practice! From my first phone call to my first visit, then my first lot of treatment the team made me realise that it is possible to have pain free treatment. I have a phobia, but this kind caring team are helping me get my smile back, little way to go still, but I'm going to do it with their kind, caring dedication. Then I'm going to be smiling like a Cheshire cat every single day!

So wonderfully helpful, and professional the receptionist was kind and understanding and the dentist even more so. He even cycled my prescription to the pharmacy this evening on his way home so I would not have to wait until tomorrow for pain relief. Saw both the dentist and dental hygienist and felt confident that I was being dealt with by professionals throughout. My check-ups were comprehensive and I was offered some excellent advice in terms of tooth care, including information on how I should be using my electric toothbrush. They made me feel comfortable and relaxed, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this practice to anyone, especially those who may get nervous.

It was my first time to this practice and I was very impressed. There is a very convenient car park directly outside the front door and the receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. The reception area is well thought out with a few toys for the kids, magazines, BBC news channel and fresh water available. I saw both the hygienist and Dr Tocca. They made me feel comfortable and explained in detail what they were doing and what they saw. This is a very professional outfit with an outstanding friendly service.

Lighthouse Dental Practice is by far the best dental surgery I have ever been with. It is not only the quality of the technical dentistry that is outstanding, but also the personal quality of the service. As someone who can become very anxious about having dental work done and used to have to be sedated at my previous surgery, even for the smallest of fillings, at Lighthouse Dental Practice the sheer quality and high standard of personal service has taken me to the point where I’m having root canal work done without sedation. This is due to the trusting relationships that staff build up with patients, largely based on excellent communication and support. I would recommend this surgery to anyone, without reservation, especially if you are an anxious or nervous patient.

After doing research of dentists in Ipswich the lighthouse dental practice stood out for me due to the claim that they specialise in nervous patients. From the moment I made the phone call I was put at ease. On the day of my appointment I walked into the surgery and was greeted by a very friendly receptionist- just what you need when you have the nervous waiting room dread. Susie was friendly, chatty and really reassuring that most people are nervous! Dr Tocca is known for dealing with very nervous patients and the moment I met him I felt reassured he wouldn't pressure me or put me out of my comfort zone. Dr Tocca sat down next to me and asked me why I was so nervous.. with this in mind he could change the way in which he treated me. Dr Tocca took xrays and explained in details my teeth and the treatment I will need! Usually I dread having to book treatment appointments but I can listen to my music whilst Dr Tocca carries out his work and we will have signals if we need to have a break etc. I walked out of the surgery feeling confident that I will be heading back and getting the treatment I need without feeling ashamed or embarrassed. I thoroughly recommend Dr Tocca and his team especially for nervous patients!

The best dental practice I've ever been to!!!
Before signing up to the Lighthouse, I had only ever known NHS dentistry, and thus was amazed at the undeniable difference in level of care, patient information and attention to detail provided here. Furthermore, being a substantially nervous patient (due to horrible past dentist experiences) I feel confident that when I go in for an appointment I will be treated with respect and consideration for my anxieties during treatment. For example, I recently went in for a filling and scaling with Dr Tocca (which I was quite nervous about) and was assured that if I felt any pain I could halt the treatment and be given extra anaesthetic or even be sedated if I was too uncomfortable, making the whole experience easily bearable as I felt completely numb during the procedure. Yes, private dentistry is more expensive, however I personally would never go back to an NHS dentist after finding a place as exceptional as the Lighthouse; I would much rather pay the extra fees for the elimination of anxieties and being able to work together with the dental team to improve my dental health (of which has greatly improved since joining!!)

After arriving at Lighthouse Dental Practice for an emergency appointment, I was relieved to hear from Dr Tocca that the extreme pain I was experiencing would subside with antibiotics, and there was hope for my decayed molar. Over three further appointments, he thankfully saved and restored my molar with root canal treatment.

I am so grateful to Dr Tocca and his team for their warm, gentle, and professional manner, which made me feel at ease throughout the procedures. Nothing was too much trouble! I would highly recommend Dr Tocca and his team.
