Thank You Andrew Barr! My smile is BACK!!!
I am 72 going on 73 next month and have just, (yesterday), completed a course of treatment which was carried out by the excellent Andrew Barr! It is very early days but I am over the moon with the work that was carried out and the dentures are great!!
I had suffered from a very great worry about dentist since a really bad experience at the hands of a not too good dentists in 1977! From the first appt. Andrew was very understanding and by the end of it I was having treatment without being anaesthetised, even for a filling! Andrew is the most gentle dentist I have come across and I had nothing at all before the work and it is all down to him!!! I can only say a very big thank you to Andrew, his nurse and all the other staff for changing my life! NO MORE ANXIETY!!!! THANKS AGAIN ANDREW!!!!!! ps - dentures seem fine - so far!!!!

Really appreciate the hygenist not using the water pick, but cleans my teeth using the 'old fashion' dental tools. Very gentle and provides good advice on how we can maintain our oral care.

Efficient service
Had a hygienist and dentist appointment yesterday - first in 18 months! Everything worked very smoothly. Both wore good quality PPE and were professional and welcoming. I came away with lovely clean teeth.

Every process is explained clearly
I’m always nervous about appointments with the hygienist and dread going but I go - probably because I know I will be so well looked after and have nothing to fear. Every process is explained clearly beforehand along with my option to stop if it all gets too much and instructions on how to use brushes effectively are invaluable. I’m comfortable asking questions and never feel I should hurry up and get out.

Kept in touch throughout lockdown
I cracked a tooth literally on the first day of lockdown 2020. Following a reassuring phone consult I was called in for a temporary filling the first week the practice reopened. Long story short I finally had my crown fitted this week. I know it’s been a year but I never felt abandoned during an exceptionally difficult time for dental procedures.

Tooth extraction
I wasn't expecting to have an extraction but the dentist talked me through the condition of the tooth and explained sooner or later the tooth would have to come out. he was most reassuring and involved me totally in making the decision. I decided to go ahead--the dentist was extremely sensitive and highly skilled. He explained how the procedure would go and the tooth was extracted with no discomfort.
