I completely appreciate that when you are in pain, waiting for treatment can feel very stressful. Our aim is always to help patients as quickly and safely as possible.

At your appointment, the dentist identified that the two teeth in question unfortunately need to be removed. Because of your medical history, the safest route for you is to have these extractions carried out in a hospital setting, where the appropriate specialist team and facilities are available. This isn’t something we can override, as it is a clinical safety requirement designed to protect your health.

We understand that the hospital referral pathway can take a little time, but please be assured that your referral was sent promptly and marked as urgent. If you experience increased pain or any new symptoms while you are waiting, you are more than welcome to contact us and we will be happy to review and help with interim care where possible.

Your safety is our priority, and we want to make sure that when the treatment is carried out, it is done in the most appropriate environment for you.
