I'm 60 years old and I've always dreaded dentist visits. Consequently almost 20 years had passed since I last went to see one, and that was only for an emergency because I was in so much pain. My teeth were in a terrible state after so long, and then to make matters worse two old crowns that I'd had fitted in my twenties snapped off within a few weeks of each other.
They broke off level with my gums and I was left with two large gaps. The N.H.S. dentist I consulted, as good as he was, was only able to provide me with a plastic denture. To be honest, it didn't look too bad but it was a nightmare for me to live with. I couldn't taste my food properly and it would move around in my mouth and food would get underneath it taking away the simple pleasure of sitting down for a meal. I found myself constantly choosing food I could manage instead of what I really wanted to eat. It was blighting my life and so I made a decision to investigate if there was a viable alternative.
My Daughter who is 30 had recently had the brace removed that Darsh had fitted to re-align a few crooked bottom teeth and she was thrilled with the result. Knowing my reluctance and anxiety concerning dentistry in general she talked me into booking a ' no pressure ' appointment with Suzy, I'm so glad I did.
I've only used the NHS in the past, and just sitting in the waiting room for the minimum half hour or so would be enough to make me anxious. I'd barely had time to settle into one of the comfy seats at O & D before my name was called. You only get one chance to make a good first impression and already that box was ticked.
A friendly chat with Suzy in her office discussing my hopes and aspirations for my teeth,
with her clearly explaining things regarding the different procedures, like time scales, costs
and so on, and I'd already made my mind up to go ahead and book an appointment to see Ollie. After the most thorough dental examination I've ever had, with x rays and scans, Ollie explained the three different options available in my case to free me from the hated plastic denture. Of the three options I chose implants for the missing teeth and decided to have my other two remaining crowns replaced with modern ones.
The implant procedure is no worse, and very similar to having a filling done in my opinion.
Richard, the surgeon who did the implants, made me feel so relaxed that the hour or so it took passed really quickly. Meanwhile Ollie had made me a new denture to wear during the healing process. As well as looking good it also protected the implants when I ate.
Three months is about average time for the implants to integrate with your jawbone and become really strong, it was no different in my case and they healed really well.
Ollie made me four beautiful new teeth towards the end of the healing process, and a final visit with him and they were fitted and looking so natural you could never tell. Eating is a pleasure again and I'm smiling at every opportunity. I found visiting O&D so relaxing I decided to go for it and have a few further improvements, to that end I've just had all my old amalgam fillings replaced with fresh white ones. This was done by Sam, she is so gentle, with such a reassuring nature, I swear I almost nodded off during my second appointment with her.
Finding Ollie and Darsh has cured me of any anxiety of dentist visits and I have a great smile and my whole mouth feels fantastic.
I've never written a review before, but I know there must be lots of people out there who dread visiting a dentist and are in the situation I was with my teeth or even worse.
Just book a chat with Suzy and take it one step at a time from there. There's no pressure to do anything and it's heartening to hear just exactly what could be done if you make the decision.

I came to Ollie & Darsh seeking help to improve my crooked teeth and the best treatment for me was the Invisalign. A year on and having completed the treatment I could not be happier with my new and improved smile. The staff and service are 10/10 and I can't thank them enough for everything they've done for me. Ollie and Darsh are amazing and I could not fault the service or the treatment I received from them. I had the invisalign treatment and it has totally changed my life. I now have a perfect smile that I am proud to show off. I would recommend Ollie and Darsh to anyone who has any issues or insecurity about their teeth. Having the invisalign treatment was the best thing I've ever done.

Due to bad dentistry a few years ago at another practice my trust was taken away and I had no self confidence whatsoever !! I finally plucked up the courage and made an appointment to see Suzy for a free consultation ! Within seconds of entering the practice I was given a warm welcome and made to feel at ease ! On talking and listening to Suzy she really let me see that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and something can actually be done for me !!
